Our first COO and his work alongside the Treasure family
Treasure Property Group had the opportunity of sitting down and chatting with our former Chief Operating Officer, Hugo Berrio, to thank him and recognize his great efforts in the past 3 years.
Treasure has enjoyed a journey alongside Hugo that grew and built an empowering community, helping Treasure reach new heights and enfold great potential. As Hugo now transitions into a different direction in his career, we wanted to take some time to show appreciation and share what’s next for him and his family.
When Hugo joined Treasure, he shared the same vision and alignment that our CEO Luban Quiceno had, seeing the amazing capabilities in each agent and the sales team as a whole. It was a company of big dreams and goals.
Part of Hugo’s time with Treasure included helping to expand the brand into new sections of the market, as well as demographics he was strongly connected in. We got to see how Hugo challenged the team and motivated them out of their comfort zone. Seeing the confidence and development of the agents together was a constant inspiration that gave Treasure and the community a sense of trust and admiration.
Along the way there were difficulties, including the pandemic which affected the whole world. But even through the unknown, Treasure brought value to the community. We recognize the role Hugo played in the creation of ‘Community at Treasure,’ which was an opportunity to give back to the people around us. From remodeling and beautification projects, to highlighting local businesses, to doing give-aways and impacting the community, the simple idea that was brainstormed in a team meeting transformed into a development that has created lasting friendships. It was amidst the uncertainty that Treasure stepped out to bring hope and come together as a family to support each other.
The company expansion in the past years continued with the integration of the internship program. Treasure established partnerships with several respected Universities, providing opportunities for many students to grow and strengthen their careers and even land permanent jobs with Treasure. Hugo helped build this platform and sense of community to help young individuals be a part of a team where they can gain experience and knowledge to later pursue their dream career.
As a company, we have enabled a continuation of growth and success to become a strong point of reference in the real estate market with a large portfolio including investments, new construction, residential and commercial sales and even property management. There’s a great display of culture that sets us apart from any other brokerage. We thank every member that has been a part of Treasure for creating a beautiful community that welcomes all people. We see Hugo as one of our strong team members that brought extreme value to this company.
At Treasure, we are constantly supporting and motivating our team to keep growing and flourishing. As Hugo takes on a new project, we want to not only thank him but keep empowering him and his family.
We cheer on Hugo for his new trajectory, knowing that as a family we grow together, support one another and inspire greatness.
Words from our former COO, Hugo Berrio:
I see this change as a new season and chapter for not only myself, but my family. Six years ago I co-founded a real estate group, BCH Group, with my wife Angelica Berrio. I want to grow my team and continue to see it thrive. My satisfaction comes from doing what I’ve always done but it’s now 100% my thing. It’s scary, yes, but it’s fun and challenging.
Being the COO at Treasure has opened many doors and has given me an experience that helped build my character and knowledge. I want to give my dearest thank you to my Ops team; Andres Arbolaez, Andres Povis, Daniella Parra, Jean Pierre, Daniella Barragan, Adriana Escobar, Manuela Montes and even people that have finished their time with us, like Alex Luttin, Marie Belizaire, and Gerardo Sanabria.
I am grateful for my sales team, the Treasure agents who have put up with my crazy ideas and have believed in the company as much as I have. They are the reason we thrive, they have made it possible for us to grow.
I thank my wife, Angelica Berrio, and my kids Mateo and Lucas. Not only are they my daily inspiration, but they have supported me in ways that make each goal a reality.
Ultimately, I can only begin to thank Luban and Paola for a beautiful partnership. My ongoing gratitude cherishes the confidence and responsibility given to me, and I know this beautiful friendship will only continue in the future to see greater projects come to life. This opportunity was a pillar for what I’ve dreamt of building.
I take the company, the team, the celebrations, the dedication, the memories, and ultimately this remarkable journey with me in my heart as I step back and position myself as a proud witness watching the business continue to prosper.
I can best leave off on this note; I’m thankful for the trust that was given to me, it’s something I’ll forever Treasure.
