Let’s TREASURE Our Neighbors!
As a family real estate company, our goal is to give you more than a house, it is to help you build a home. We care about our community and want to share some tips on how to be a good neighbor. #Happynationalneighborday
1. Community Rules
Let’s start with the community rules, if you live in a neighborhood with association, there are certain guidelines you need to be aware of and follow. These can include parking restrictions, lawn maintenance and knowing property lines. It is also good to know and follow city ordinances. This can avoid conflict and leave you off on the right foot with your neighbors.

2. Love your pets… but love the neighborhood too.
Be a respectful pet owner, this entails cleaning up after your walks, being mindful of your dogs barking, and keeping pets on a leash for the safety and comfortability of everyone. Going on neighborhood pet walks is a great way to meet people!
3. Don’t be the noisy neighbor!
We have all had that one neighbor that kept us up with the loud noise and parties… and you don’t want to be that one! Be mindful of other people’s space and time. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the company of your friends and family over, but consider letting your neighbor know!
4. Know how to handle conflict
There may be times when issues arise, but when this happens remember to keep your cool and handle conflict appropriately and peacefully. Keep a good relationship with the neighborhood because sometimes small problems can lead to larger ones if not handled correctly. Remember the golden rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated.

5. Be Helpful and Trustworthy
Being a good neighbor means being a friend. Helping others out when needed allows you to build a good relationship and build a better community. Mowing the lawn, raking leaves, and helping keep the neighborhood clean are ways to help others, and position yourself as an honest and reliable neighbor.
Being a good neighbor helps you feel welcomed in a new place and make strong and everlasting friendships. At Treasure, we are a family working for families and want to help you find your happy home and community. Ready to be a good neighbor?
